Overview

On-Street Parking Made Simple

Cameras watch the bays. Drivers pay on their phone. Officers only chase what hasn’t been paid.

Zamco’s on-street parking brings fair, automated charging to busy streets. ANPR cameras at the entry and exit of each street read every plate in and out, while PTZ cameras let the control room watch the bays and spot illegally parked vehicles. Every vehicle gets 15 minutes free; drivers who stay longer pay through the app, at a street terminal or with an attendant before they leave.

Officers work from a live list of unpaid bays and issue penalties in-app with photo evidence, while unpaid exits receive an automatic notice by app or WhatsApp. The platform integrates with off-street systems, so street bays and facility parking run on one management layer — pairing naturally with our Parking Management System.

3D street scene: ANPR cameras at the street entry and exit, marked parking bays and a self-service payment kiosk
Marked bays are all a street needs: spaces are defined by road markings, with no in-ground sensors and no road works. ANPR at the street’s entry and exit logs every stay, the cloud platform prices it, and payments from the app and kiosks are reconciled automatically, so revenue is visible street by street. Streets can be rolled out one corridor at a time, on the same management layer that runs off-street facilities.

How Deployment Works

From Site Survey to Handover

Every on-street parking project we deliver in Kuwait follows the same proven four-step process.

01
Site survey & design

We map each street’s entry and exit points, bays and demand, then design the scheme: ANPR and PTZ positions, signage, terminal locations and tariffs.

02
Supply & installation

ANPR and PTZ cameras, solar or mains pay terminals and signs are installed by Zamco technicians — bays are road markings, so there is no digging.

03
Integration & testing

Cameras, terminals, the driver app and the officer app are connected to one cloud platform and tested end to end on the live street.

04
Handover & maintenance

We train control room operators and enforcement officers, hand over full documentation, and expand street by street with ongoing maintenance.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How does on-street parking work without barriers or tickets?

ANPR cameras at each street entry and exit read every plate in and out, so each stay is measured automatically, while PTZ cameras let the control room watch the bays. No barrier, ticket or parking meter is needed.

Is there a free parking period?

Yes. Every vehicle gets a 15-minute free grace period. Drivers who stay longer pay before leaving, and payment opens a 15-minute window to drive out.

How do drivers pay?

Through the driver app — find a bay, start, extend or end the session and pay in seconds — at a street terminal by QR, bank app, card, contactless or cash where enabled, or with an on-street attendant.

Do the street terminals need power cabling?

No. Terminals can be solar powered, so there is no trenching, power supply or meter cabling. Cash or cashless can be chosen per street, and both report to the same platform.

How are unpaid vehicles handled?

The system flags only unpaid bays. Officers see them on a map or live list, issue the penalty notice in-app with photo evidence and print the receipt on the spot. Vehicles that leave unpaid also receive the amount due plus a surcharge by app or WhatsApp.

Are in-ground sensors or road works needed?

No. Bays are defined by road markings and signs, and every stay is measured by cameras, so streets are equipped without digging or in-ground sensors.

Does it connect with off-street parking systems?

Yes. The on-street platform integrates with off-street parking management, so street bays and parking facilities are monitored and managed from one place.
